(Kishore) Shreeman Funtoosh (1965)

I am re-uploading these songs on request...

Even though Kishoreda made an occasionally brilliant movie during 60’s (for example, “Door Gagan ki Chhaon Mein (1964)” and “Padosan (1968)”), most of the movies he starred in were generally bad. This film is a prime example. Like “Mr. X in Bombay (1964)” and “Hum Sab Ustad Hain (1965)”, Laxmikant & Pyarelal were the music directors for this film as well. Interestingly, in all these three films, the only redeeming feature was their music.

I am uploading songs from this film in two back-to-back posts. The first post contains all songs from the film. The second post contains a version song of the hit “Yeh Dard Bhara” and some instrumentals of the same song.

The song is listed by HFGK but not given credits to Kishore. I am not sure about the authenticity of the information.

The song Khaali Peeli by KK is actually 3:40 mins of duration.....I think the last stanza has been used twice in the song, so the length has became more than 5 mins.

Could you please recheck it????

Tamasha (1952)

Ashok Kumar produced this film from a story by S.N. Banerjee. Both of them were also in the film. Ashok appeared some four or five times in the movie, all very brief. He probably had less than 10 minutes of screen time. Nevertheless he stole the show from Dev, who was the hero, and Meena, who was the heroine. Kishoreda was also in the movie, almost through out, even though his role in the film was not clearly defined.

Khemchand Prakash was the original music director of the film but he passed away before completing his assignment. Mannada took over and completed his work. The DVD lists only these two as its music directors. But S.K. Pal did compose music for a couple of songs as listed in the table.

Anyway the song Dil Mein Hain Baat Aisi is a Lata solo song and cannot be considered as a duet of KK & Lata technically. KK just uttered a word Hai in this song 3-4 times and also he was not credited for this.

This film was produced by Kamini Kushal who also was its leading lady. Burmanda composed no less than 12 songs for the movie for which N. Dutta was the assistant music director.
