(Nutan) Chilaka Gorinka (1966) - A Telugu Film

Nutan starred in this Telugu movie. I am not sure whether this was made in Hindi also or not. May be someone can answer this. Nevertheless, I don't have any songs to share from this album. I am requesting members to share any songs from this album. Thank you.

This is the first movie for U Krishnam Raju, who later became a BJP MP, and also for comedy actress Rama Prabha, who played opposite Mehmood in 'Do Phool'. I have one song 'Naa Raani Kanulalone' sung by Ghantasala. 128 kbps, 5.13 min

Sure thing Viraj. A sure fire way to get my attention is to sending a personal message. That way I know how to respond quickly as I am lazy to surf around the Forum sections.

Cheers,

(Saira) Zameer (1975)

It seems like only yesterday when Saira was introduced opposite a boisterously energetic Shammi in the film "Junglee". That was 1961. This is 1975. 14 years in the middle have changed a lot of things. For one thing, Shammi started playing fatherly roles. Saira looked bored in every movie in 70's and started gaining weight as well. Yet Saira and Shammi who played the romantic leads in that fun film "Junglee" are here reunited again. But this time Shammi is playing the father of Saira! An amazing turn of events.

The music of this film grows on you. I am not sure why Sapan Chakravarty did not get to work on many films in Bombay. That is too bad. My favorite of the album is Kishoreda's solo "Zindagi Hansne Gaane Ke Liye Hai".

Now for a description of all the songs from an original soundtrack album and the songs themselves ...

(Vyjayanti) College Girl (1960)

Until the untimely demise of Shailendra from the tandem writing team of Shailendra & Hasrat Jaipuri for the music composer team Shankar & Jaikishan, no one else wrote lyrics except on two occasions. The first exception occurred in S&J's stunningly debut album, "Barsaat (1949)", for which the song "Hawa Mein Udta Jaaye" was written by Ramesh Shastri. The next exception occurred with this album, "College Girl". For this film all of the lyrics were written by Rajinder Krishan. I don't know how this has happened. When B.R. Chopra was making "Naya Daur (1957)" he signed initially Shankar & Jaikishan to provide the music. BR wanted to utilize the services of Sahir Ludhianvi to write the lyrics. But S&J insisted that they would like to stick with their team Shailendra & Hasrat Jaipuri. BR decided not to go along with that request and eventually the award winning music for "Naya Daur" was composed by O.P. Nayyar.

I am uploading all these songs in two back-to-back posts. The first post has songs from the film. The second post has several extended versions.

Now for a description of the songs in the first post and the songs themselves ...
