Hi SP,

The female voice in Mahendra Kapoor's song is of Saira Banu.

There is another song in this movie "Haye phir zara zara koi" by Sharada. I don't have this and hence requesting somebody to upload it.

(Sharmila) Charitraheen (1974)

Here is a fine album from RD who gave so many hit songs for the Shakti Films banner for the producer & director Shakti Samanta. I am also including here a special version of "Teri Meri" that includes a glowing introduction by RD on Asha. I'm not sure if this was recorded before RD was married to Asha or not. It is taken from the album "Legends: R.D. Burman - The Versatile Composer (CD 3)".

I haven't seen this movie but can someone please enlighten whether it was based on Sharat Chandra Chatterjee's immortal classic? Thanks.

Now for the details of the songs and the songs themselves ...

Aame Evaru? (1966) - A Telugu Film

I am re-uploading songs from this Telugu film upon request. Tis movie was based upon the Hindi hit "Woh Kaun Thi?". There are five songs in the Telugu version and four of them are copies of Madan Mohan Saab's magnificent tunes. Susheela does a beautiful job in singing three of these songs.

Here is a description of these songs, with their Hindi original references, and the songs themselves ...

SP...time and again, i am at loss of words at the range of your collection of songs in telugu / hindi. The eagerness and the willingness with which you post these songs on to the forum is extremely heartening. smile1.gif
Aame evaru is one film which has gone into oblivion and as you said Susheela did a fine job of singing these beautiful melodies..
btw, are these rips from video ?

My Dear SF,

Thank you very very much for your nice and kind words.

The songs for the film had various sources; CD collections, LP, and Video. Breakdown I'm not quite certain.

Cheers,
S

(Vyjayanti) Baghdad (1960)

I neither have any songs nor I have any details of this film. However, it appears like it was either simultaneously made in Tamil and Hindi or it was dubbed from Tamil. The name of the Tamil version, which was also released in 1960, was "Baghdad Thirudan".

I am requesting members to please kindly share any information they may have about this film and/or any songs they may have from this film. Thank you very much.
