Geeta Dutt's Birthday, Was it yesterday???? Options

Thank you so much for your complements.. I got Parag's PM. I will feel myself lucky to help you all..

I love this legend singer very much not only for her talent and sweet voice..also she is a sweet bengali lady...I must prepare some banners for her birth anniversary...

But I could not understand that after preparing those banners where have I to send for approval? To u or to Parag or both?

So far my knowledge is concerned that she was born in 1930..So it will be her 77th birthday..Am I right? Because I will mention this also in my banner...

August, thanks for the list again. Now I understood what you said. I think you got this list of songs from the book "Gandhar" on Lataji which is penned by Vishwas Nerurkar (VN).

CM2 ji, I have got this song now. Thanks so much.. I think even in this year, this is the only song of hers. Probably after Guru Dutt's death in 1964, assignments coming to her almost stopped.

As far as 1968 and 1969 are concerned, it is more or less confirmed that there are no songs of hers in these 2 years.

Vasudev ji, special words of thanks for the sweet duet of Geeta ji "Wada karke kisi se na aana" with Surendra. I knew this song as "Dil ki duniya mein haa.. chupake chupake dekho dekho sajan tum na aana"

Geeta ji is sounding so sweet in this song..! I heard it on radio cylone a few times and did record on an audio cassette (the only way of "Storing" songs in those good ol days !)



The casette went kaput over period of time and I never got to hear it again !

Now I am having a De Ja Vu of this duet , thanks to HF !

May be its too late to think for this year, but does any one have any contact details of Geeta ji's 2 children, namely Arun Dutt and Nina Menon ?

I have read some where that Arun ji is settled in Pune. (August ji, can we trouble you please ???)



No idea on whereabouts of Nina.

We can probably invite both of them to see the celebration in the memory of their mother next year.
