(Zeenat) Bandhan Kuchchey Dhaagon Ka (1983)
In a concert I attended sometime back, Asha Bhosle shared with the audience that her favorite singer was Hemant Kumar. She was so much in love with his voice that when a son was born to her, she named him Hemant. This album's music is by Hemant Bhosle, Asha's son. He had a brief stint in the movies composing music but he enjoyed only a limited success. Here are the songs from this album where the title song, sung separately by Lata and Kishoreda, is one bright spot. Attached image(s) |

(Mumtaz) Hamraaz (1967)
This is another beautiful album from the combination of Sahir Saab & Ravi. Mahendra is in top form here with singing all songs (four solos and a duet) in the album. He has several beautiful numbers. I have a couple of favorites of Mahendra from this album. "Hey Neele Gagan" is one of them. A real beauty. But my most favorite of this album is another Mahendra's solo, "Tum Agar". Great lyrics. Lovely composition. Beautiful singing. One of the heartwarming listening experiences. Here are these songs from an original soundtrack album... Attached image(s) |
