Not very many names with O So here goes Oman Officially the Sultanat Of Oman, bordering the United Arab Emirates on the northwest, Saudi Arabia on the west and Yemen on the southwest, Oman is an Arab country in Southwest Asia. Oman's Names Sumerian tablets refer to a country called Magan, a name thought to refer to Oman’s ancient copper mines. Mezoun is derived from the word muzn, which means abundant flowing water. The second picture is absolutely beautiful..
NASSAU Nassau is the capital, largest city, and commercial centre of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. Nassau was formerly known as Charles Town; it was burned to the ground by the Spanish in 1684, but later rebuilt and renamed Nassau in 1695 in honour of Dutch King William III of England and Ireland from the Dutch House of Orange-Nassau. In 1703 Spanish and French allied forces briefly occupied Nassau. Located on New Providence Island, Nassau has an attractive harbor, a colorful blend of old world and colonial architecture and a busy port. The tropical climate and natural beauty of the Bahamas has made Nassau a popular tourist destination, with a reputation for relaxing days and an exciting nightlife. The city's proximity to the United States (290 km east-southeast of Miami, Florida) has also contributed to its popularity as a holiday resort, especially after the banning of American travel to Cuba.... Now..i have to say ..i skipped a trip to Nassau / bahamas last year..again due to work. It was supposed to be a cruise.. another trip i keep promising myself.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nassau,_Bahamas After silence that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.

Amsterdam is the capital of Holland. . But since moving furniture is a headache when width of the house is less, they constructed their houses leaning to the front so that a joist is attached on the top with a pulley which helps in hauling the furniture into the house throught windows !! Quite funny to see houses with as little width as six feet !! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amsterdam Since the City has river and canals all around, it is lovely to travel along the watercouses ! Dear SF, Visiting this page after a long time. Yes, Amsterdam is a lovely city. I had been there for a week in 2004. The canal tour was a great experience to see different styles of Dutch architecture. In fact, I have shot pictures of furniture & big sized household items being hauled upwards by a winch like contraption. And a lot of interesting pictures of Amsterdams's famous street life. But I do not have any of those pictures in digital format. Is there any way by which printed photographs can be converted to digital format? If there is, do let me know. With best regards, suresh |

Suresh..would be lovely to see your pictures..
The best way is to scan the photos and store them in digital format. Do it as quickly as possible..as we tend to lose the negatives and the printed photos do get distorted after some time.. After silence that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.

True.. make the most of the present
I can imagine the experience of the cruise. My sis and family went to Mexico on a cruise last year and they loved it so much they repeated the trip a second time. U... Uherské Hradišt› Wonder how the name is pronounced. A city in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. Located in the southeast of the Czech republic close to the border with Slovakia in the historical land of Moravia, it lies on the Morava river and is the seat of the Uherské Hradišt› District. It was founded in 1257 by the Czech king Otakar II. The region is known for its characteristic folklore, music, wine, costumes and traditions. The town, rightfully referred to as the metropolis of Moravian Slovakia, boasts an interesting history, wealth of sights and monuments, historical tradition, a large number of tourist attractions in its vicinity as well as finely preserved countryside of its surroundings. The region is attractive owing to its landscape and rarities. The Morava river with its alluvial forest as well as flora and fauna are particularly popular and the Ch™iby and White Carpathians mountain ranges are also in close proximity to the city. The area has several castles and palaces, the Great Moravian town Staré M›sto, and the pilgrimage spot Velehrad. Uherské Hradišt› is also known for its film festival named Summer Film School (Letní filmová škola). The town is shielded by woody slopes of the Ch™iby hills from the West, and White Carpathians from the East, in the middle of viniferous country inhabited by industrious and kind people. Since long ago, the pilgrims€™ steps have lead here for the moments of rest and serenity as well as joy of enlightenment. The hospitality of the royal town has always been well-known and attracted many artists to visit €“ painters, poets, writers and composers. All those who have visited the town left it later with an ineffaceable memory. http://www.mesto-uh.cz/cms/en/history/History http://www.mesto-uh.cz/cms/en/photos http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uhersk%C3%A9_Hradi%C5%A1t%C4%9B This post has been edited by Bhavita: Jan 10 2010, 10:50 PM Joy, sorrow, tears, lamentation, laughter — to all these music gives voice, but in such a way that we are transported from the world of unrest to a world of peace, and see reality in a new way, as if we were sitting by a mountain lake and contemplating hills and woods and clouds in the tranquil and fathomless water. - Albert Schweitzer Without music life would be a mistake - Friedrich Nietzsche Where words fail, music speaks - Hans Christian Anderson Music is spiritual. TANZANIA
The name Tanzania is a portmanteau of Tanganyika and Zanzibar. The two states united in 1964 to form the United Republic of Tanganyika and Zanzibar, which later the same year was renamed the United Republic of Tanzania.. Tanzania is probably one of the oldest continuously inhabited areas on Earth; fossil remains of humans and pre-human hominids have been found dating back over two million years... Endowed with diversified flora and fauna... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanzania After silence that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.

Rushin, you had to follow alphabetical order. Ahmed Nagar ends with R, so your city/town/country should have been R.
Anyway, taking I now that you have begun it. Ireland Best Regards
