So here goes Oman

Officially the Sultanat Of Oman, bordering the United Arab Emirates on the northwest, Saudi Arabia on the west and Yemen on the southwest, Oman is an Arab country in Southwest Asia.

Oman's Names Sumerian tablets refer to a country called Magan, a name thought to refer to Oman’s ancient copper mines. Mezoun is derived from the word muzn, which means abundant flowing water. The present-day name of the country, Oman, is believed to originate from the Arab tribes who migrated to its territory from the Uman region of Yemen.

NASSAU

Now..i have to say ..i skipped a trip to Nassau / bahamas last year..again due to work. It was supposed to be a cruise.. another trip i keep promising myself..

Amsterdam is the capital of Holland.
. But since moving furniture is a headache when width of the house is less, they constructed their houses leaning to the front so that a joist is attached on the top with a pulley which helps in hauling the furniture into the house throught windows !! Quite funny to see houses with as little width as six feet !!

Visiting this page after a long time.
Yes, Amsterdam is a lovely city. I had been there for a week in 2004.
The canal tour was a great experience to see different styles of Dutch architecture.

In fact, I have shot pictures of furniture & big sized household items being hauled upwards by a winch like contraption.

And a lot of interesting pictures of Amsterdams's famous street life.
But I do not have any of those pictures in digital format.

Is there any way by which printed photographs can be converted to digital format?

If there is, do let me know.

Suresh..would be lovely to see your pictures..
The best way is to scan the photos and store them in digital format. Do it as quickly as possible..as we tend to lose the negatives and the printed photos do get distorted after some time..

I insisted that my bro and sil should go on as planned and they said it was like a fantasy...with two thousand guests on board , the liner had 4000 attendants ! Food of any kind was made available..quite an experience they say....

I can imagine the experience of the cruise. My sis and family went to Mexico on a cruise last year and they loved it so much they repeated the trip a second time.

Uherské Hradišt�› Wonder how the name is pronounced.



A city in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. Located in the southeast of the Czech republic close to the border with Slovakia in the historical land of Moravia, it lies on the Morava river and is the seat of the Uherské Hradišt�› District. It was founded in 1257 by the Czech king Otakar II. The region is known for its characteristic folklore, music, wine, costumes and traditions.
