There is this song - Roz akeli aaye, roz akeli jaaye, chaand katora liye bhikharan raat - from Mere Apne that I believe was never included in the final film. Salilda, well, lifted the entire tune from a Nazrul Geeti (as the songs of Kazi Nazrul Islam are referred to) - 'meghla nishi bhorey, mon je kemon korey'. The funny thing is that one of the more popular recordings of this bangla song is in the voice of Kumar Sachin Dev Burman (!)
