Why did Gulzar do this 'hazing'? Is it related to the character in the film? Has anyone seen the film?
Gulzar does get nostalgic about the pre-1947 undivided India very often. In his collection of poems, 'Pukhraaj', he has that lovely poem about the 'mehmaan' who come visiting from across the border... Self - belief is the most potent force.
