Baraati (1954)
Here is another early albums of Roshan ji. As usually is the case with his music, there is a regular quota of good music here. These songs came from several sources including the Forum members. Because of the heterogeneous nature of the sources, their quality is not uniform.
One of the highlights of this album is that it has Chitalkar singing a solo and another, a duet with Asha. Chitalkar is otherwise known as C. Ramchandra, one of our famous music directors. He generally sang songs mostly for his own movies. Interesting thing here is that Ramchandra was already an established and popular music director at this time and yet he lent his voice for another music director. (CR started his career in early 40's. In 1951 he had a major hit in Bhagwan's "Albela". This was followed by yet another super hit for Filmistan, musically legendary "Anarkali" in 1953.) Probably Roshan and he were good friends.
Now for a description of the songs and the songs themselves ...
