Aditya Ji, Are you going to post some corrections here?
Sangeet ji, I haven't gone through the entire datbase, but being a Lata song collector I noticed a few errors in Lata songs.
1) 1984-Haisiyat-Uttar Mein Dekhoon Tau-
Lata Mangeshkar Asha Bhosle, Kishore Kumar-Bappi Lahiri
2) 1984-Qaidi (1984)-Chandni Rat Ye Sanam-
Lata Mangeshkar Asha Bhosle, Kishore Kumar-Bappi Lahiri
3) The song Sir Pe Mukut appears against two films Dawedaar (1982) and Mera Karam Mera Dharam (1987). I am not sure if this is an error. Can anybody confirm if a) these are separate songs, or
they are the same song, but used in two films, or c) this is an error.
4) The same holds for Mera Maalik Mera Dil Hai, that is listed both for Paisa Ye Paisa (1985) and Gharwali Baharwali (1989). To the best of my knowledge, this song is from Paisa Ye paisa, and Gharwali Baharwali had no Lata song.
5) I think Kabrastan was a 1988 film, but it is listed on the 1990s-2000 database (under 1990)
6) There are 2 sets of entires for Alibaba Aur Chalis Chor (1980), Zakhmi Sher (1984), Zara Si Zindagi (1980 & 1982)
7) Libaas is an unreleased film, but its audio was released. I am not sure whether it was in 1988 or 1994, but it should appear in either the 80s list or the 90s
8) There is no song called Geet Sunoge by Lata in Patita (1980). A CD of the film included Geet Sunoge Huzoor from RRocky by Asha Bhosle. It was a mistake by the music company that released the CD.
9) Tumhe Apna Saathi from Pyar Jhukta Nahin (1986) is not a Lata-Shabbir duet. It is actually a Anuradha - Shabbir - Lata trio. It is actually a very interesting case - In the film version, Anuradha starts the song, then Shabbir takes over and fnally Lata ends it. I have never understood why two separate voices were used on the same actress (Padmini Kolhapure) in the same song. Possibly, the song was recorded by Anuradha, only to be later dubbed by Lata, but for some reason the opening lines were not dubbed by Lata (at least in the film version). Can anyone throw more light on this? Is the LP/CD version a pure Shabbir- Lata duet?
10) The female voice in Maro Bhar Bhar Ke Pichkari (Dhanwan, 1981) is Usha Mangeshkar, not Lata.
I will keep adding to this list as I find other errors.
I am looking at the 90s list as well, and will put the changes in the relevant post.
