Hi
In 'Sangeet Ke Sitare' under Lakshmi's thread 'TwinSongs' post # 695 dated Oct. 15 2007 has twin songs 'ae meri zindagi' both Lata & Talat versions from 'Adl E Jehangir'. Since the songs were posted more than a month ago they could be removed anytime now. Harjinder

One more song, 'Dekho jaata hai koi gham ka sahaara lekar' from Adl-e-Jahangir is available here:

Don't know how, but I seem to have one more song from the movie. Now my tagging could be all messed up, so please verify if such a song exists:

HBhagatram-Adil E Jahangir(1955)-Teri Allah Karey Rakhwali(Rafi_QJal).rar

You are very welcome, Binod. Thanks for the info... felt something had to be amiss if I had a song that the real big-wigs don't have... tongue1.gif

Madhavi, I like your high brow signatures:

"This isn't right, this isn't even wrong."
Wolfgang Pauli (1900-1958)

"There are no facts, only interpretations."
Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900)

Why do pithy sayings have to be so ancient? Is Darwin wrong? Have we stopped evolving? I like your second quote even more because it informs my own worldview, namely, ".. the real world is ruled by the world of our preceptions."

Regards.

Thanks a lot Madhavi & Shish

By the way I'm looking for two more choruses from the film, more particularly the first one :

Sanwariya tumhari nazar laage pyari... by Lata + Chorus
Bhool na jana ulfat kar ke... by Asha + Chorus

Can anyone help ?

Thanks

Binod, you just proved Darwin right... it is all about the survival of the fittest... the "best" phrases have survived the wear and tear of years... wink2.gif Aur rahi contemporary phrases ki baat: Apni ek aur purani kahawat hai : "Ghar Ki Murgi Dal Barabar"... So we ignore our present and look to the past ... after all it is all a matter of perspective...(and if you pull in Shivani, Bibhas and Suhas into the debate they will convince you that the past, present and future don't exist in any case!!! biggrin.gif )

Thank you for your appreciation, I enjoy reading your posts.

You are welcome Balaji and Mohdji, smile.gif

Balaji, I don't have either of the two songs that you mentioned.

Cleaned-up version of "Aaj Laila Ko" provided so kindly by Shish.

Dear All,
I have removed a jump (at 3:41) and a click (at 3:59) of Aaj Laila Ko. There was also a problem with the instrumental intro to the song. Since it ruined the mood at the beginning itself and since it could not be fixed, I have removed it altogether so that there is no "Ras Bhang". I hope I will be forgiven for this drastic editing. Here is the cleaned up version. The bitrate remains at 128 kbps and the length is now 4:00.
