Pathan was an interesting movie. Produced by Madhubala's father Ataullah Khan, it was probably the debut movie of famous actress Mumtaz. The movie had 7 songs composed by as many as 9 different music directors, some of the songs composed jointly by more than one MD. Premnath acted opposite Mumtaz, as he did in one of her other early movies, Rustam Sohrab.
