Not quite. One song "Bekas ki tabaahi ke samaan hazaaroN haiN"
is by Majrooh. The style is very very Sahilesque. But it is actually
Majrooh.

Interesting,

Ultraindia.com says Sahir
http://www.ultraindia.com/movies/filmograp...57292c899a52d1b

ISB also says Sahir
http://s94437128.onlinehome.us/isb/cisb/285.isb

But earthmusic.net has majrooh
and One RMIM artcile mentions that following

The following Nazm from Sone Ki Chidiya that Balraj Sahani recites was also
mentioned.
(The first 4 lines are reproduced below)

aaj kii raat bahut garam havaa chaltii hai
aaj kii raat na Foot Path par niind aayegii
sab uTho, main bhii uThuun, tum bhii uTho, tum bhii uTho
koii khiDkii isii diivar me.n khul jaayegii"

Kaifi Azmi

I was under the impression that this was written by Sahir, and Ashok
corrected me. Kaifi only wrote this Nazm and didn't
write any songs in the movie. Ashok also pointed out that  Majrooh wrote one
song in the movie. All the other songs were
written by Sahir.

Does the movie give credit to Majrooh
or is just these encyclopedia that have this information.

The data I have is from the geetkosh. And I trust it since it
explicitly mentions Majrooh as the lyricist.
It has been years since I saw the film, so I don't know whether
the credits included Majrooh.

vsv
Yes, Bekaski....is by Majrooh.
