They have missed out Darogaji in the filmography. The movie had 11 songs of Geeta Dutt, many of them excellent solos.

His early films such as Caravan, Moorti, Rajputani, Bela, etc had beautful compositions; remniscent of the great composers of that era such as Khemchand Prakash and Gyan Dutt, both of whom were his mentors at Ranjit Studios, specially the former under whose baton BCR also sang many songs in early 1940s apart from assisting him.

I also recommend BCR's wonderful score in Bilwamangal. Songs such as Parwanon Se Preet Seekh Lein and Hum Ishq Ke Maaron Ko by Suraiya, Panghat Pe Morey Shyam, Chubh Gaye Do Naina, Mohan Pyaare Ab Aur Saaz Par Ga Re and Yeh Raat Din Ka Phera by C.H.Atma, Ab Sooni Bhayi Re Atariya Hamar Kaise Jiyara Ko Aaye Qaraar- a wistful duet by Suraiya and C.H.Atma, even the mischievious Kajal Waali Akhiyan Mori by Shamshad are all wonderful compositions. Although not a popular score by any means, given the theme of the movie, it was nevertheless music in its purest form, believe me. I do have quite a few songs from Bilwamangal, alas by way of 78 RPM records only. Will try to see if I have them in the digital form and try to upload them over the weekend.

First of all, thanks for your posts of complete songs from rare old movies.

I have an humble suggestion:

Why not post all your songs in one place, say this thread in the SKS forum. Then you can add a post to the thread "From here and there" in the other artists forms, linking to the one post in SKS that has all the songs.

You take the effort to go those other forums anyway and typically post relevant songs there. This way, all you would post there is a short msg pointing people to this thread in the SKS forum.

My suggestion will put all the songs in one place, so that we won't have to go hunting for them. The other forums will have alerts in them as well.

Am I making any sense?
