This hit album is the culmination of the combined talents of the music director RD and the lyricist Gulshan Bawra. The movie became a huge hit and part of its success had to do with many fine songs from this album. I am uploading these songs in three back-to-back posts. (Manoj) Clerk (1989)
Manoj waited another two years after his last dismal outing in "Kalyug Aur Ramayan (1987)" to come out with this movie. He assembled a good set of actors to surround him. This time instead of going for big name music directors, he had Uttam & Jagdish provide music. Songs from this film were not bad, but the film was. (Amitabh) Muqaddar Ka Sikandar (1978)
During his hey days, anything Amitabh touched turned into gold. Take as an example this movie. No new ground was broken here. No new trails were blazed. Seems like it was a role Amitabh played many times before. It had all the masala ingredients. Then that chemistry or may be even physics between Rekha and Amitabh that was shamelessly exploited. It was an out and out pleaser with beautiful songs. I am uploading these songs in back-to-back two posts. Here is a description of the songs in the first post and the songs themselves...
