Madhu As I understand, apparently he had an uncredited guest appearance. The movie's prodcer, director, and comedian actor O.P. Ralhan and Rajendra were related. They are brothers-in-law. (Amitabh) Mili (1975)
The hit English film "Love Story (1970)" starring Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal inspired several movies in Hindi that parallelled its theme. The English film was based on Erich Segal's novel of the same name. Segal was on record saying that the his story was based on a true account of a young couple he knew. Even though Hrishida's "Mili" is not anything closer to the English film, but at the heart of it, the Hindi version does follow some of its elements. This movie has only three songs but they all are absolutely beautiful. Kishoreda's "Badi Sooni Sooni Hai" is just one unforgettable song. It was sung with such a feeling that it leaves one deeply affected with its pathos. The music was by the incomparable Burmanda ... I am including a special version of "Aaya Tum Yaad" with Bappi Lahiri's brief introduction in praise of the great Burmanda. This is taken from the album "Legends: S.D. Burman - The Ageless All Rounder (CD5)". Now for a description of these songs and the songs themselves ... Attached image(s) ![]() |

(Dharmendra) Ankhen (1968)
Mala Sinha and Dharmendra were paired in a series of films that are remembered today for their fine music. But none of them clicked at the boxoffice. This movie is a case in point. It has some lovely songs composed to music by Ravi for beautiful lyrics written by Sahir Saab. However, the movie was a financial flop. Here are the songs of this film from an original soundtrack album ... This post has been edited by swarapriya: Sep 9 2010, 02:26 AM Attached image(s) ![]() |
