(Dharmendra) Soorat aur Seerat (1962)

I am re-uploading these songs on request. I have three songs from this film, couple of them thanks to our friends of the Forum. I think I am missing at least one song shown in red italics in the table below. Requesting members to share this and if there are any others, if they can.

Here are the three songs I have ...

Take this missing one and you complete the album. There are only four songs.

Viraj

Thank you very much Viraj for the song. Cheers. -S

many many thanks Swarapriyaji , Viraj Padhye & --others --thanks for re-uploading---!

For me, singing sad songs often has a way of healing a situation. It gets the hurt out in the open into the light, out of the darkness.

You're very welcom Bhai Saab. From Rafi Saab one expects this type of singing and he never disappointed.

(Manoj) Sawan Ki Ghata (1966)

Here is a beautiful album from the venerable OP. This movie was made by Shakti Samanta who introduced in his previous outing Sharmila Tagore ("Kashmir Ki Kali (1964)"). This film follows the similar pattern. Lovely locales. Beautiful women. Foot tapping music. Hummably great songs. Only thing diferent here is there is no Sammi in this movie. Instead it is Manoj. Manoj clearly is out of his element here. But I guess it didn't matter as the movie proved to be a resounding success.

The songs are so good that it brings "honton pe hansi" and "aankhon mein nasha". Asha is absolutely fabulous with four lovely solos and two great duets. Then, there is Mahendra and Rafi Saab. Especially Rafi Saab's solo, "Zulfon Ko" is a winner.

I am uploading these songs from an original soundtrack album. Here is their description and the songs themselves ...

(Rajendra) Aayee Milan Ki Bela (1964)

Here is a thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining movie. Beautiful scenery. Beautiful music. Beautiful songs. Even after over four-and-half decades these songs haven't lost their charm. Shankar & Jaikishan during early 60's couldn't do anything wrong. Everything they touched was a winner. Rightfuly so. You can feel their creative energies with Rafi Saab at his best and Lata equally superb singing most of their songs.

There are so many favorites I have from this album, yet I can pick one as the top. Lata's song "Tum Ko Hamaari" is one of those songs that stays with you for ever. Melodious. Mesmerizing. These type of songs were almost like signature songs of S&J and yet their sweetness and the rich lyrics made them so endearing.

I am uploading songs from this album in two back-to-back posts. The first post contains all the songs from the film from an original soundtrack album. The second post contains several extended version songs.

Now for the details of the songs in the first post and the songs themselves ...

Concluding Songs from "Mera Saaya (1966)" ...

I am including in this post several specials. The song "Aap Ke Pahloo" sung by Madan Saab is from the album "Legends: Madan Mohan - The Instinctive Genius (CD 3)". The song is not complete on the CD. I am including here an extended version of "Jhumka Gira Re", through the courtesy of the Forum members. I am also including two separate versions of "Nainon Mein". One of these is from the album "I Remember Madan Mohan" and has a nice introduction by Lata. The other one is the longer version of this song taken from the album "Legends: Lata Mangeshkar - The Melody Queen (CD3)". I am also including a version of the title song with Madan Mohan Saab's beautiful introduction. This is also taken from the album "Legends: Madan Mohan - The Instinctive Genius (CD3)". Finally I am including the same song by Anuradha Paudwal from her album "A Tribute to Madan Mohan".

Now for these songs ...
