(Dharmendra) Putt Jattan De (1981) - A Punjabi Film
In this Punjabi hit film Dharmendra had a guest role. I am uploading all songs from this film from a DVD and MP3 album. Please bear in mind that the quality of these songs is fair to good. I had problems identifying the singers of some of the songs. Also, I am not sure of the lyricists. If you have this information available, please kindly share. Thank you. I must confess that I have no knowledge of Punjabi language. This is the reason I had problems identifying proper names of the songs listed. Please accept my apologies for this because it is not intentional. It stems from the ignorance of the language that occasionally makes it to miss out some of the words. There are plenty of songs in this film. I am uploading these in two back-to-back posts. Here is the first set... Attached image(s)

(Amitabh) Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (1998)
Amitabh was desperately looking for a hit for some time. Finally it happened. This film, in which he was paired with Govinda, and directed by David Dhawan who made himself a specialist in making successful comedies was a modest hit. Amitabh was so sure that this movie was going to hit the bull's eye that he purchased its distribution rights for some of the territories. The movie itself was loosely based on Shakespeare's play "Comedy of Errors" and borrowed heavily from the 1995 Hollywood hit "Bad Boys". Both of these subjects enjoyed proven winning formulas. To add to the fun, the movie boasted several hit songs with the music composed by Viju Shah. Here are the songs from this album... Attached image(s)

(Amitabh) Hero Hindustani (1998)
Arshad Warsi dominated the proceedings in this film with his trademark energetic performance. The film has several nice songs composed by Anu Malik. (Jeetendra) Tohfa (1984)
Here is yet another film with the usual masala ingredients that was expected from the films made in South, especially during this period in early 80's. There is Jeetendra teamed here with both Jaya Prada and Sridevi. There is Shakti Kapoor who is joined with Kader Khan. There is Bappi Lahiri doing his usual stuff while Indeewar again writing the lyrics. There is plenty of Asha and Kishore. But the difference this time was the movie had a bit of story. That combined with catchy songs helped it to become a hit. Bappi was even nominated for the Best Music Director Award by Filmfare. Bappi was nominated not once or twice but three times for the Filmfare Award in 1984. These were "Kasam Paida Karne Wale Ki", "Sharaabi", and "Tohfa". He won the award for "Sharaabi". Indeewar was nominated for the Best Lyricist Award for the title song but lost to Hasan Kamal for the title song from "Aaj ki Awaz". Here are these popular songs from an original soundtrack album... (Amitabh) Major Saab (1998)
This was the third film Amitabh's own company produced. Finally Amitabh played a role of an experienced officer instead of his usual angry young man's role that made him initially famous. With several good songs, the movie was a modest hit. Songs for this film were written by Anand Raj Anand and Dev Kohli. I do not have a breakdown of who wrote which song.
