Well Gargi. I thought I had the song on my DVD. It is a 3-hour long movie on the DVD but this particular song is missing from it. Sorry. I am not much of help. May be someone else can come forward to help. Cheers. -S


ahh....actually in new print, the song is missing...if someone have a VHS version, the song is available there....i remember the song when i first time saw the movie in hall....

(Sunil) Laila (1984)

I am uploading songs from this film ripped from a DVD. "Laila" was produced and directed by Saawan Kumar who also wrote its story and penned its lyrics. Kumar made many movies most of which are very forgettable. He enjoyed unexpected success with Rajesh Khanna's "Souten" in 1983 that revived Khanna's career briefly. The music for "Laila" was provided by his that time wife Usha Khanna. The titles claim that the hero of the film, Anil Kapoor, was being introduced in this film. But Anil had several other movies released before this. Examples include "Hum Paanch (1980)" and "Shakti (1982)". May be the movie was started before 1980 when Anil was new to Hindi films. That justifies the claim.
