(Dharmednra) Aakash Deep (1965)
This film boasts outstanding music from the music director Chitraguptji. While all songs are good, there are two of my favorite songs in this album. These are Rafi Saab's superb "Mujhe Dard-E-Dil Ka Pata Na Tha" and Lata's exquisite "Dil Ka Diya". Especially I love Lata's song. These are the types of songs why Lataji will be remembered as a legend for ages to come. There is so much such sweetness in her voice. There is such wonderful feeling in her singing. Like the beautiful fragrance of a freshly bloomed flower, it lingers in your senses even long after you experienced it... I am uploading these songs on request in two back-to-back posts. The first post contains all of the songs from this film. Some of these were contributed by the members of this Forum. Thank you all for such generosity to share. This film was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. With a good cast and Hrishida at the helm one always expects something good. But to me this movie was a big letdown and was a total disappointment.
