The song "Pardesi Re" apparently was based on Burmanda's own Bengali composition "Padmar Dheu Re". The emphasis of "Re" in each antara of this song casts a melodic spell. Also, I have read some place that the inspiration for the song "Naina Diwaane" came from Rabindranath Tagore's composition. The beats of tabla with sounds of piano and music of flute that accompany Suraiya's voice is an unforgettable experience that leaves you longing for more. I am missing two songs by Manmohan Krishna.
