Based on the filmography put together by Mahesh ji, this is what I know

Btw..Pendyala Nageswara Rao is a legendary MD in telugu....akin to SD Burman ! used to think i know all his works....

In almost exactly 48 hrs from the commencement of the thread, it has more than fulfilled its objective.

For a thresd to run up 14 pages in two days & 100 songs (few of them unheard of) must be a record of sorts and all that has been due to the whole-hearted support of so many like minded souls.

That is true, some sites mention this as the first released song of Geeta ji. Some other sites mention 4 songs from the film Bhakta Pralhad as her first released songs. It seems like Circus King was a stunt film (probably a bilingual in Tamil/Telugu and Hindi). The name of the other composer seems like "Abhyankar Joshi" to me. Requesting more information from forum members about this film and the song.

I myself had not imagined that the target of 100 songs will be accomplished so soon. It is such a nice feeling to see forum members coming forward and sharing some of the rarest of the rare songs. I was talking to a friend (a great music lover and a die-hard fan of Lata ji) and I told him that this is like a "Musical movement" we all are part of. Through our little efforts in places like HF, website on Geetaji, Orkut, facebook etc we are trying to reach out to more and more people. Let us hope music lovers all over the world will appreciate her songs and remember her.

Many thanks Exon for your valuable inputs as always. I believe that Firdaus (1953) was composed by Robin Banerjee who has already been covered. Robin Chatterjee and Robin Banerjee seem to be two different composers. Sangeetbhakt ji has confirmed that the music for Firdaus (1953) was composed by Roshan sahab and Robin Chatterjee . Madhur Milan (1955) MD is Bulo C Rani as per EM database. Requesting help from friends with HFGK to confirm if A R Oza was also co-MD for this film.

Bulo C Rani is the only MD as per HFGK. AR Oza is cosinger with rafi, geeta, mahendra kapoor in one song only. (Ek Taraf Joru Ne Nikala Hai Diwala)

Thanks HB for the confirmation. I believe that A R Oza was primarily a singer for Gujrati and Hindi films. I am not sure if he has composed music for any film.

I am not aware about any song of Geeta ji composed by Nissar Bazmi sahab. I forgot to add the names of Shankar Rao Vyas and Sharmaji Vermaji. I will update the list accordingly.
