This movie is also known by the alias Prisoner of Golconda

According to the records, Movie is supposed to have actually had three MDs:-
1. Datta Davjekar + Jagannath Prasad as a duo for seven songs (Hence above song should have been by the MD Duo)
2. Datta Davjekar + Kundan Lal as a duo for one Shamshad song (Dhad Dham Chak Lag Rahi Duniya Ki Baaje Paijaniya) which was added later to the movie.

However, according to Datta Davjekar he has composed all the songs himself (alone).

The above movie has one more Geeta solo:-
Oh Maalik Kya Rang Dikhaye Ujad Gaye Ghar Base Basaaye
Would appreciate other songs of the movie too since it has rare songs of other singers like Sudha ji, Madhubala Zaveri etc.

Parag, first of all, your energy in maintaining the interest in Geeta Dutt is extraordinary. I
am in complete awe. Thanks for starting this thread. I think it is a wonderful way of reminding
a lot of us about the range of Geeta Dutt.

Now for a specific request. Do you or anybody else have more songs from the film above "Durga maata"?
It seems to have a bunch of songs by famous South Indian singers and fairly early in their careers
(since the film is from 1960). S Janaki, P Susheela and P B Srinivas have all sung in this film.

This topic has turned out to be a topic with an unprecedented response in Geeta ji's forum. In less than 2 days, we have got over 150 replies, 1200 views and so many encouraging responses. HF members with a wide range of likings and choices in music have come together and shared song(s) of Geeta ji with great enthusiasm. I am myself so happy and delighted to see the response to this thread. Long time back I had started a thread with "75 songs with 75 composers" but it could not take off due to some reason or other. Now, we have so many music lovers coming together to share songs of Geeta ji with so many composers. It is true that such posts surely showcase the range and variety of her songs!

I have not done much except acting like a catalyst in a chemical reaction. It is the blessings of Geeta ji coupled with affection of dear HF members like you which has made this thread so successful.

And about your query on the songs from the film "Durga Mataa". I am sorry, the only song I have is this one shared already. The only thing I know that the matinee idol Rajkumar starred in this film and it was dubbed into Hindi. We hope that more and more music lovers will share such rare songs.
