(Madhubala) Shirin Farhad (1956)
For the few films he worked on, the maestro Mohiner Saab provided some unforgettable music. The case in point is this album. It has every song very beautifully composed. I am uploading all of the songs. Most of these songs came from different CD collections. Others were contributed by the Forum members. Thank you. I will upload all songs from the film in the first post. In the second post, I am uploading some extended versions. Even though most songs are of very good quality, you may find on occasion a skip here and a skip there. But this in no way diminishes the beauty of these songs or the overall quality of this album. You won't find too many albums where Lata didn't sing a song for Madan Mohan Saab. This is one of them. In this album Asha sings all except one song, four solos and two duets. The one exception is the solo by Kishoreda, "Dil Dil Se Milakar Dekho", a real beauty. I am uploading these songs in two back-to-back posts.
