Just had a strange thought, is it part of soundtrack also. anyone having the movie VCD/DVD?

the song is not there on vcd/vhs.
hfgk mentions the song being present on film soundtrack.

Thats sad. Looks like its one of those never released songs or to be found in the original VHS only. Or perhaps it got hit during the editing.

sorry to disappoint, but i was looking at original list not updated list. i checkd and i have all songs of detective except solo version. where is the info that the solo version is existing? did someone mention in interview?

Mahesh has mentioned that HFGK (Hindi Film Geet Kosh) lists the solo version. It says that it existed on the film soundtrack (and may be never released on the records).

the film was a suchitra sen-uttam kumar starrer and the film is present on youtube.the meera bhajan was picturesed on suchitra sen.
