I am not that proficient in Hindi/Urdu and so my ratings do not reflect the greatness of the lyrics or the fine interpretation of the lyrics by the singers (or the appropriateness of the song in the context of the movie - a thing I can not judge, since I have not seen most of these movies). It depends only on the tune. It is as though I am listening to an instrumental version of the song and judging it. That is why I call it "My Rating of Music". I have a feeling that you are very good at Hindi/Urdu and so your ratings which depend on all these other factors are necessarily quite different. Sunhere Kadam is 1966 movie.
Speaking of which "maangane se jo mout mil jaati koun jeeta is zamane men" seems to be very close to Talat's version in Abdulla (1960) "mangane se jo maut mil jati kaun sahata dukh zamane mein" but is credited to two different lyricist. Are these same song. |
