Patented vatented kuchh nahi. Something I wrote in Excel.
Problem with software out there is that it expects that the mp3
files are correctly tagged. Then they are able to generate lists.
That is MOST OFTEN not the case.
When I save the files on my end, I use a very specific file naming
convention each time
<Singers> - <Song Name> (<Film Name>) [<MD>, <Year>, <Language and other comments>]

From that I am able to generate all kinds of cool lists and cross reference and sort in Excel.
But, I am still having a hard time automating the process of writing that information back
into the mp3 headers. I have tried many ways and none of them works.

My approach only works if the file names are formatted correctly. From what I had heard
from Priya, that is not necessarily the case with her naming convention. So I would either
have to modify the script to accomodate her convention (if she has one) or she would have
to change her convention.

Okay, I am a techie, so I got into all kinds of details. But hope this makes sense.

It tries to connect to the net? Never does that to me, N!
Perhaps there was some option that you left checked... And I find it very very useful! Creates filenames from tags in seconds for a whole CD of mp3s, and put tags from filenames... Can create songlists in excel, notepad, html... Deadly software!

Try it again. It's a very useful software. Does't act smart if you're smart while loading it.
