BTW which Inspector is this one SB? (Circle or Sub???
 )There is one in 1956 I think (too lazy to check) and one in the 70s or 80s which I asked Antji abt (again to lazy to re-check). Whichever it is, it is welcome as I have the songs of neither. Look forward to Ur enlightenment and the songs.  I think Unni, Anurag, Talkzji and Cineji had a round of discussion on this conversion thing when we were talking abt the Mandi songs. |

The earlier "Inspector" is indeed from 1956 with music by Hemant Kumar. It has the LOVELY "Dil chheD koi aisa nagma" which Priya would not have heard of since it is a tandem song of "didi" and Hemant Kumar  I could have sworn I had both versions. Unfortunately I cannot find the Lata version. But coming back to the forum milieu, it does have 4 Asha songs that I do not have. The version that I am talking about is the one from the 70s with music by Usha Khanna and starring Joy Mukherji in a ridiculous James Bondesque role. Too bizarre for words. |
