Do Jasoos (1975)

In this movie the singer Shailendra Singh not only sang a few songs but also acted and provided music for a couple of songs. The music for other songs was by Ravindra Jain.

I am uploading these songs on request.

Anand Bakshiji, who was one of our prolific lyricists, came to Bombay hoping to be a singer in the films. Instead he ended up as a lyricist. However, in this album, he wrote a song that he also sang with Kishoreda and Mahendraji.

Naukri (1978)

This film was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. Its story was credited to Salil Chowdhury but it was based on the famous English classic film, Frank Capra's "It's a Wonderful Life (1946)" that starred Jimmy Stewart. However, Salilda didn't compose its music. It was RD and I think for this outing it was kind of a feeble effort on his part.

This proves how much involvement did Raj Kapoor have in the music of his films. It is clear now that Raj Kapoor must have insisted on LP using a tune from this forgotten film of his for the song Yashomati Maiya in Satyam Shivan Sundaram. Listen to Aayi Gori Radhika and see for yourself.
