I am confused - and curious! I have a Lata solo version of this song (3:15 min) that has the same two antaraa-s that she sings in this duet. It sounds like a complete song in itself, not like a song with male bits edited out. Are there two versions of the song?

Am uploading the solo for two reasons: one, for reference for anyone who like to solve the mystery; two, because I love the version and, after listening to the duet version, feel strongly that the effect of the solo rendition is not matched by the duet. (I hope, Hildebrand, that you don't mind this intrusion into your thread - if you do, you just have to so indicate and this post shall disappear in the twinkling of an eye!)

The solo version is encoded in mp3 @ 96 kbps; audio quality is average.

My guess is that the Lata solo is the 78 rpm version and the duet is what is in the film.
I haven't seen the film, so its just a conjecture.
