N, I've heard this song by Sanu and Supriyo in the past... but this version seems to be Amit Kumar all right! I didn't know this song had so many versions. Please, Walker, if you can throw some light on this, do!

Iss tarah se ashiqui ka indeed has two versions.
1. Amit Kumar version picturised on Sunny D
2. KS version picturised on Saif Ali

I kno, bcos I jhelofied the movie for the songs

Also guys everyone remembers KS version for this song, because those were heydays of KS and Amit Kumar was going on a down.

So, Time Magnetics gave the AK version initially in the cassettes and then they completely removed the AK song even from the single cassette of the movie.

I was totally taken by surprise being a DHF of Amit Kumar and I used to religiously follow every number sung by him, the AK version according to me is a lot better sung than the other one.. but still it had to undergo bias due to petty politics. (Without getting into the controversy here wink2.gif ).

So I reckon there would be many HF members who would be listening to AK version today, as it is not available. Even today whenever I see the CD or cassette of Imtihan in music stores, the AK version is missing.. blab.gif

It is extremely sad. Despite the fact that all these years of putting in his best efforts in every song he has had a chance to perform, uplifting each composition from mediocre to sublime, fans (and music directors) all over the world still continue to view Amit Kumar in the shadow of his legendary father.There are innumerable songs, beautiful compositions, if they had been rendered by Amit, would have made the songs eternal.

I had the Song, only, did not know from which film it was. Unfortunately the cassette is misplaced. There was one more Amit Kumar gem in that cassette “Mann ek seepi hai, aasha moti hai, har pal jeevan ka ek chunauti hai.”
I am trying to locate it (may be some friend borrowed it). I hope I will have some good news for you in couple of days.
