Meena Kapoor is a singer who sang in the 40s and 50s.
She was married to the composer Anil Biswas and was a good friend of Geeta Dutt.
Her sons Amar and Utpal Biswas gave music direction as Amar-Utpal team for movies like Shahenshah and Aaja meri jaan.

I have been looking for some songs of hers on the net.

Next uploading two more songs from her first movie Aath Din(1946) which incidentally was the second movie of S.D. Burman in Hindi Films. I read somewhere that Meena ji was still in school when she sang these songs.
