Prem Yog (1994)
Ttitle of this movie could easily be mistakened with "Prem Rog", a 1982 movie that also starred Shammi and Rishi Kapoor. However this one is a different animal. This movie was based on the English hit, "Coming to America" that was released in 1988. In the Hindi version, the roles of Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, and James Earl Jones were played by Rishi Kapoor, Shakti Kapoor, and Shammi Kapoor respectively. Bappi Lahiri was at the helm of music and there are several Lahirishly good songs. Each of the song is also quite long in duration. I will upload these songs in back-to-back posts. Pyar Ka Rog (1994)
First there was "Prem Rog". Next it was "Prem Yog". Now we are in for "Pyar Ka Rog". One thing common to all these three movies, apart from the love theme of their titles, is Shammi. This is a typical Bappi Lahiri album. Many singers. (Here there are only five songs but there are nine singers, even though two of them are solos.) Lengthy songs. Yet fun to listen to ...
