Sohni Mahiwal (1958)

Here is a superb album by the incompable one and only Naushad Saheb. This has some great music and heartwarming songs. Because of the number of songs, I am uploading these in two back-to-back posts.

I am attaching a photo of the tomb where Sohni and Mahiwal were enshrined. The tomb is located in a town called Shahdapur in Pakistan.

I am uploading four songs from this album. Per EarthMusic there is at least one more song, a solo version of "Toote Na Dil Ka Vaada". Details of this missing song are shown in red italics in the table below. If anyone of you have it, please share with us. Also, I am not sure who the singer is for the song "Laila Meri Laila". If you know who it is, please kindly share.
