Songs Of "Shalimar (1978) From Asha's Private Album

Asha released a 2-CD album called "Asha Reveals Real R.D. Burman". In the first CD, she had three songs from "Shalimar". I am uploading two of them here. The third one, "Mera Pyaar Shalimar", is almost identical to the original recording from the movie which I have already uploaded in the first posting for this movie. If anyone is interested, I can upload. Now for the details of these other two songs and the songs themselves ...

Ahsaas (1979)

I don't know too much about this movie. Shammi apparently appeared as a guest briefly. But Bappi Lahiri composes some beautiful songs for this movie. Sources of these songs came from my CD colletion and the Forum member contributions. Now for the details of the songs and the songs themselves ...

You're right Exon. Mana Teri Nazar was recorded for Khandan (1979) but used in Ahista Ahista.

I love this song. Am glad of a chance to share it with you! Lata is sublime in this song. 3:26 minutes; mp3 @ 192 kbps.



Also, while on Gul Sanobar, does anyone have a clean copy of Meena Kapoor's "kabhii tum Khwaab me.n chupake se aa jaate to kyaa hotaa"? I love the song but the copy I have seems to drag a little and is not of great audio quality.
