Bhagam Bhag (1956)

Comedian-producer-director Bhagwan's is a rags-to-riches-to-rags story. After enjoying phenomenal success with his "Albela" he made series of movies like "Jhamela", "Halla Gulla", and "Bhagam Bhag", and others that were misses. With Kishore coming off several hit movies of his own, the casting combination of Kishore and Bhagwan, at least on the paper, looked like a sure fire thing. But it didn't meant to be. Only saving grace of the movie was its music by the incomparable OP. By the way, OP had Rafi singing for Kishore in two instances in this movie.

There are 10 songs in this album. I am uploading nine of them plus the theme music (this one @160kb/s). The missing song is shown in red italics in the table below. If anyone of you have it, please kindly share with us.

For a movie that is nearly 53 years old, quality of the songs is fairly good. Yes, some songs have a scratch or two here and there, but the overall quality is okay.

I have heard of an Asha version of the song. Hearing for the first time about a longer rafi-geeta version.
Hope somebody can upload these.

I am uploading these songs on request. Most of these songs came from the Forum members. I cleaned the songs to get rid of noise but in some you can hear hissing. However, the quality of almost all of these songs is acceptable.
