Mr. Lambu (1956)

O.P. Nayyar composed music for three of Sheikh Mukhtar's movies (Mangu, Mr. Lambu, and Do Ustad), this being one of them. This album has some eight or nine songs. I have seven of them I am uploading here. The sources of these songs are from some CD collections and contributions from the Forum members. (usrafian has loaded one of the songs recently). Beacuse of the diversity of sources, the quality of the songs also is very diverse from very good to so so. Please bear this in mind when downloading.

I am missing either one or two songs. I am not sure whether a solo version of "Yaad Karoon" exists or not. If it does I am missing two. Otherwise one. Nevertheless I have listed both these songs in red italics in the table below. Please kindly share them if you have them. Now for details of the songs and the songs themselves ...

This song is not from Mangu - HFGK does not list it. It did not sound like an O P Nayyar composition.
It is from Mangu Dada (1970) composer: C Arjun

Dhake Ki Malmal (1956)

Here is another early movies of O.P. Nayyar. There are eight songs in this movie. I am uploading five of them. These came from various sources including CD collections and from the Forum members. Because of the diversity of the sources, the quality also is very diverse from good to very good. The missing songs are shown in red italics in the table below.

By the way, the lyrics for Atma ji's song were written by Saroj Mohini Nayyar, wife of O.P. Nayyar. Very beautiful song indeed. More so the way Atma ji sings it. Now for details of the songs and the songs themselves ...
