Joy, sorrow, tears, lamentation, laughter — to all these music gives voice, but in such a way that we are transported from the world of unrest to a world of peace, and see reality in a new way, as if we were sitting by a mountain lake and contemplating hills and woods and clouds in the tranquil and fathomless water.

Bhavita..the link is no more valid. sad.gif
I got the video at home computer, will upload is as soon as i reach home. It is a nice clipping showing all three fabulously talented women of our times, from different linguistic backgrounds...Suchitra sen, Waheed Rehman and Savitri. ANR, himself a dada saheb phalke awardee has explained as to how the three did the same scene..showing relevant clippings.. smile.gif
It is interesting to note that many of films of Telugu are taken from famous Bengali books and films.. Almost all of them are blessed with timeless melodies..which are being hummed still ..

Thanks, SF...No rush at all.

Yes, very interesting to know that there is so much of the bengal inspiration on Telugu too smile1.gif - music truly transcends barriers and boundaries of language and land!
