Erum ji, sorry for the delay in the reply. Is the composer "N Dutta" ? And search on internet says that S P Kalla was a director for some films !!!

The sole reason behind coming up with this thread and developing it to over 300 songs was this. For some people, Geeta ji is type-cast into a singer of sad and weepy songs ("Mera Sundar Sapna Beet Gaya", "Yaad Karoge Yaad Karoge" et al). She broke from this mould when she sang songs for the film Baazi. And then onwards, she sang a variety of songs : Bhajans, sad songs, romantic songs, lori songs, club songs to name a few !

The first time I heard the songs from Captain Kishore or Shrimati 420, I used to feel like have achieved something rare and great. There was of course Radio cylone (SLBC) but the audio quality of the songs broadcasted used to be extremely poor. Among all this, I kept on collecting songs of Geeta ji..and the cassettes used to get spoiled. The story is endless... Now we have mp3/WMA files and back-up disks to save them. And we have a great place called HF where the members will willingly share songs from their collection. Three cheers to HF and all the original contributors !!!
