BTW, S K Pal is another composer about whom very little is known. He composed a few songs for Geeta ji and also paired up with Timir Baran for films like Baadbaan (1954).

Kaise koi jiye from that film is one of the top notch songs of Geeta ji.

My pleasure to re-upload and re-discover these songs. As Mahesh has noted in another post, Geeta ji has sung over 75 songs in the first 2 years of her career (1946-1947). Her creativity and wide range of songs was probably at its best between 1947-1952. After being associated with Guru Dutt, she got more or less typecast into a few genres of songs. This is of course strictly IMHO.

There is something wrong with this version. It starts with Udit Narayan singing, and when it moves to the real song, the speed is ultra fast. Do you have the correct version of this song? I have tried to correct it but don't know if the speed is right.
