Here is the original version of "MUJHE APNA YAAR BANALO PHIR DEKHO MAZA PYAR KA", Mohd. Rafi's solo in Boy Friend. I downloaded this song in 2005 (Coutresy: Dharmvir - HF). The wordings of this song was later changed to "MUJHE APNA YAAR BANALO PHIR HO JAUN SANSARKA". Here is the original version:

Akbarali bhai,

Thanks for this original version. I had this audio; but it was short.
I remember this topic discussed earlier in this forum. If one looks at the line in a broader perspective, I don't see anything objectionable in the original version.

Hari Ram

Hari Ram,

I agree with you there is nothing objetionable in the original version.
But those were different times. What is common-place today was highly objectionable to the censors during those times. smile.gif

And Thank you Akbaralibhai for the original version. smile.gif

Regards

Sunny

Anupama sis,

Thanks a lot for the missing versions from Naina.
If you still have Naina VCD, would you upload film version of '(dil ki choton ne ...) mere dil bahut door kahin bhi le chal' (part1)?

<Hasrat Jaipuri> Lata Mangeshkar, Mukesh, chorus:

yeh iltijaa hai ke, mud mud ke dekhte jaao
o jaane waale mudke zaraa dekhte jaanaa, zaraa dekhate jaanaa

usually in HFGK the songs are numbered as they appear in the movie

firstly Mud Mud Ke Dekh [#6]-Asha & Others & [#10]-Asha & Manna & Others

are these 2 parts joined together-or are we missing a part.[I have the 5:46 version]

secondly Ramaiya Vasta Vaiya[#8]-Lata & Rafi & Mukesh & Others & [#9]-Manna & Others

do we have both the parts?

should'nt the filmography list both of them seperately as the singers combination is different

thirdly about 2/3 years ago Dhall sahab or Bobby had uploaded a duet version of

Mera Joota Hai Japani-Mukesh & Lata

here it is

CM2,

These are very good suggestions. I need to check my audios and see if I have both parts.
I agree with you, if the singer list differs in a multi-part song, we need to list the parts separately. For the songs you have highlighted, I wasn't sure about the singer list in both parts. Probably, I have combined audios.
Regarding song sequence, I wouldn't be able to follow HFGK. For many movies, I don't know the sequence as they appear in the movie. For ease of song searching, I have been listing song titles alphabetically. In the case of multi-part songs, I try to list them one after the other.

Is the duet version of 'mera jhoota' a non-film song?

Hari Ram

Note added: I have updated the songs list with your information and upload.

I don't mean follow HFGK for our song listing-I am just trying to say we should list them seperately as the song appears at different times in the movie and our sung by different singers.

I guess we have to wait for our expert in film version-Anupama to give us the answer or songs.

1. Nikal Pade Hain Khuli Sadak Par - Yes CMji, lady A confirms that this duet version comes at the end of the movie. Here is the video:

Nikal Pade Hain Khuli Sadak Par
Singers - Lata Mangeshkar & Mukesh
Format - WMV

2. Mud Mud Ke Na Dekh - Manna Dey's part is very much included in the same song. IMO it shud not be counted as a separate song.

3. Maine Dil Tujhko Diya - never heard Manna Dey's version. It's not even there in the movie. If someone has Manna Dey's version kindly upload it.

4. Shaam Gayi Raat Aayi is also missing from the DVD.

5. Here is the live version of Dil Ka Haal Sune Dilwaala:-

Dil Ka Haal Sune Dilwaala (live version) - Manna Dey
