Princeali bhai here is a song for you.....................am i right in saying you like Shankar Jaikishan compositions.
This a rare tune of theirs from a 1979 film.....................Rafi's voice sounds early mid 70s to me.

Ant Ji,

I always thought that there was no fan of Rafisaab like me but having come to this forum and met people like you and others, I am humbled.

After hearing this song my eyes are moist as i think that we are so lucky by God's grace that we have had the gift of hearing the voice of Rafisaab and at the same time I feel a bit dejected when I think how much more we could have got if Rafisaab was alive.

I honestly believe that no other singer has the meismersing vocal quality that Rafisaab has. His vocals in this song and most songs after 76 suggests that Rafisaab had raised the bar further, am impossible task for any one to achieve.

One can just think how Rafisaab would have used his vocals in the 80's and the 90's.

However we are graced that we still have access to his great songs thanks to fans like you.

Thanx................I say Rafi would have been awesome if he lived through the early 80's...............i believe there would not have been the early years of Shabbir Kumar as Rafi would have been given the songs................i believe Rafi would have been more laid back......singing less songs but big hits....................maybe doing a few bhangra tracks too.

Dear suhana_safar

I agree with you, I also think that if Rafi live more years (like 5 to 10) then where he stand among other singers(Not to hurt anyone and still he stands at the top), I mean the difference b/w him and others will be more that that which exist even today. The practical example is that after Mukesh he passed away and impact of his songs after 25 years are awesome. Need more comments on that(If rafi live more)
