I haven't seen Sarfarosh 1976 but I happen to have this song. I have an inquiry - who is the MD of this song? Is it Sardul Kwatra? I am on the same boat as you. Ask me how many cassettes & CDs I have lost to my acquaintances. My friend once borrowed Chan Pardesi's cassette and I never got it back. Ever since, I have been searching for this album. Chan Pardesi was later dubbed in Hindi and the resulting Film was named Sindoor Ki Laaj. Do you know if Mohd. Rafi sang any Hindi song in Sindoor Ki Laaj? I was wondering because he sang two songs in Chan Pardesi.  |

  WD! I am pretty sure that others are soon going to guess it too. It was an easy one. Wasn't it?  Oh yes, you got another 50 points - this song also contains more than two birds ( Kauva, Koyal, Baaz ) & wasn't mentioned in the bird quiz. Yesterday i was clueless......i had no idea.......the clue provided by Sksiddiqui bhai made me think it was a female duet.....so went through a dozen or so suspected songs and no joy.
For the past 2 hours today i been trying to figure this one out again......curiosity got the better of me and i finally tempted myself to listen to the clip.........it's a quwaali........it never occured to me to listen to a few from 1977........luckily i only have 11 quwaalis from 1977 and more than half of them i can eliminate them...........add on one of Anupama's clue "Another duet from this Film was a hit".........and this leads to Suman Kalyanpur duet BINGO i know it........but i'm leaving this one for Flex bhai to solve Anupama's original question "Jiske_Sangeet_Ka_Ghayal_Hai_Zamana".........features 2 min 38 sec into the quwaali Jani kauva ho tum ya koyal ho tumko boli sunana hoga I myself have to confess that i would not have guessed which song it was without listening to the clip.......this was a hard one Anupama......it did really test me Flex bhai......put the shotgun down yaar......water pistol is safer......i got a feeling you got the quwaali in your collection. the cover Attached image(s)
