Yes Rajnish Ji you are absolutely right, just downloaded and hear it, its 100% Asha Bhosle and not Sudha Malhotra. I have no doubt about it, accordingly I have corrected the tags.

You know Mirsaji & Ranjishj - When I heard this song for the first time, my initial reaction was "Wow she sounds just like Ashaji." However, it is Sudha Malhotra who is credited on the cassette cover. I even confirmed it on EarthMusic & it also lists Sudha Malhotra as the singer. Phir I stopped pursuing it and blamed my ears! doh.gif

After reading your posts, I checked with Shakeel Badayuni's GEET-KOSH and in it the credit goes to Asha Bhonsle.

anupama ji,

you know that there are two songs in Golden Collection CD of
Noor Jehan which is sung by third Noor Jehan.
So HMV probably has the worst record keeping system.
Since they didn't have to pay royalties, so they
didn't really care about these thing.

They could easily put their database on the web.
I doubt they would do that without a profit incentive.
