Kya Baat Karte Ho Dost, U’re young dudes. U’ll be singing for at least for another twenty years. Just look at Lataji, still sounding sooo BEAUTIFUL in her seventies; Is’t she just soo adorable.



So Sing Less, but quality; in my opinion doing it properly is also a show of respect for the legends. But I do agree Harish Bhai; we should'nt get too carried away when trying to get perfection. We're not full time singers we dont have the time to do practice riyaaz daily (what ever that is). We also have to balance aur commitments to loved ones, family, friends, work and other interests.

Glad am I that accidentally I came into this thread out of curiousity for the first time.
Gladder am I still that Sanjay has got the hang of Rafi Style of rendition.
Gladdest am I that the new generation, like Sanjay, knows so much about Rafi Sahaab and his songs.

If there was one music director whose songs I love the most (for singing), it is Naushad saab. He believed the tunes were 75% of the song and hence based them on a strong foundation, and relied less on other instruments. His exact opposites were SJ, who relied on creative embellishments here and there and who believed in the orchestra being at least as important as the tune.

Naushad saab, 'Suhani Raat Dhal Chuki' na jaane aap jaise funkaar ab kab ayenge? My dedications to Naushad saab.

Glad to hear you will follow my way. I think there is more pleasure in doing that than commonly available and sung songs. Listened to both "Suhani raat" and "Likhe jo khat tujhe". I liked both, but "Likhe jo" was really great. Very good voice and very well singing, which I enjoyed. Keep up good work.
I have given up uploading to iShare. It is really becoming a stupid place and all garbage is there and apparently not many knowing the value of the old legends, although my songs got quite good response, all in all anything is being uploaded and, that too, in masses. I can't enjoy that style.
Well, ab to baari hai OMkar sahab ki, lekin pata naheen kya ho gaya hai unke gale ko. Koi dawa ho to de dena unhe.

Last time not only someone reported it for abuse (teri ankhon ke siva), the moderators deleted the song. I then had to upload it for the second time. This time if it gets deleted my the mods, then I am out of ishare.

My fear is, and it is probably very possible, someone wants to provide some comments on your songs throgh "Report" (not knowing it is for reporting any abuse, by the way it doesn't say that clearly, except that it is in Red). Or is it purposely done by someone ?????? (Do you get some info from the admins?). I have received comments from people, who probably did not speak English properly (and most probably not understanding). Well this should not affect you and your singing. Please continue and surprise us with some new, unheard numbers.

There is absolutely no way to get in touch with them (Rediff ishare) through any means. Even if somebody made a mistake and pressed 'report' instead of 'comments', why did the admins deleted my song (teri ankhon ke siva, which i had to re-upload)? fortunately this time better sense prevailed and they have released the song.

One advantage in ishare, is that the songs download very fast, unlike esnips. This is because rediff stores them in a lo-res format.

if u login to the rediff email ID, u simply get mails that so and so has added this song of yours in their favorites.

Coming to 'lesser' heard 'gems'. The problem here is that karaoke tracks are not available. How do we handle this?
