The earlier Pandit Amarnath was the elder brother of Husnlal and Bhagatram - he died quite early. The "Garam Coat"-waalaa Pandit Amarnath was a disciple of Amir Khan and - from whatever I have been able to gather - composed for only this one film. Each time I listen to the songs, I wonder why we don't have more of this man's work!

Here are the other 4 songs of "Garam Coat", all sung by Lata Mangeshkar. All songs are in mp3 @ 192 kbps. Duration is mentioned in the file names.

He was indeed known as "Pandit" Amarnath - he was primarily a classical singer and has composed a few classical bandish-es as well. His daughter, Bindu Chawla, has written a bit about his life and career - you can find some references online if you would like to know more.

I am looking for a qawwali 'Hamen yeh duniya waale pyar ka ilzam dete hain. Magar ham hain ki phir bhi aap ka hi naam lete hain' sung by Kamal Barot and Usha Mangeshkar. Movie name 'Bada Aadmi' music director Chitragupt and year of movie release probably 1961. If you have it please upload. I was thinking of uploading three qawwalis together from this movie, Bazaar and Mughale Azam. I have the other two and am looking for this one. Thanks in anticipation.Harjinder
