Having lived in the U.S. for a major part of my life I am more used to some of the ways of my adopted country.Informality is one trait that is more prevalent in America. Calling and addressing people by their first names is very common. Even so I do appreciate the finer points of our South Asian culture. Use of honorifics and appellations with names is a matter of taste and of refinement. Faraaj your sentiments are appreciated in this regard.Interesting to know the meaning of your first name. I guess names do tend to help us define our personalities and our way of life. I do feel writing (Mr.) with first name of a male member is somewhat awkward so as of now I am going to deemphasize this practice.
