That's what the resources say, I know. Can someone with keen ears confirm this from the song itself though? |

QUOTE(hits @ Feb 12 2005, 11:47 AM) QUOTE(cinemaniac2 @ Feb 12 2005, 03:20 AM) My info is that this is an Asha song.....and I could be wrong. Jala De Tu Hi Koi Aag - Asha - Barkha Bahaar - 1973 - Rekha Million thanks to CM-ji for bringing such a nice number to HF, never heard before. Again an interesting situation since all records say Lataji. I fully agree with Hits, Talaikya-ji, Vikas-ji, I feel its 100% Ashaji's voice and not Lataji. A very soft song, excellently rendered by Ashaj in seventies, when she was at her best. I would request Admin. to refer it to Ashaji's forum and get views from Ashaji's fans as well. Mohd. |

Ears not keen and I am no expert, but it does sound like Asha ji to me. There is absolutely no question about it. This song is by Asha. Every inflection in the voice, every note is indubitably hers. |

Heavens!!!! This IS Asha--can anyone doubt it? U just have to hear the first tere to know it. The voice and style--ASHA all the way--I think it is only their early songs where there is a bit of room for confusion. How can anyone mistake Asha's 70's voice? Nothing more lovely in the world (ooops I am in the wrong forum bhool gayi
![]() ![]() BTW not all sources say it is Lata. The VN book says it is Asha. Priya ![]() |

Where is that admin Unni? Confusion reigns in hf--songs are being wrongly labelled--fans are in trauma looking to a senior and efficient force to guide them and lead them to sanity and where is the admin? Sleeping I'm sure.

We teeny-boppers are more familiar with the voices of Shreya and Mahalakshmi!

QUOTE(VikasB @ Feb 15 2005, 03:49 AM) So in this Lata-Asha duel (sorry for starting it), the other two songs did not get loaded? :-( Please somebody..... Vikas He he he this is not a Lata - Asha duel--this is an Unni-Priya one--am sure Asha would tolerate having me as an avatar but would Lataji like being masculine or simian? For that matter Lataji did once express a wish to be male so that she could sing for Dilip Kumar!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Duelling is what the guys end up doing. Sometimes I wonder, is Bush genetically programmed to go to war? At HF, which is a music lovers' forum you'd think peace would prevail, ah well.... let me not get started! ![]() For the songs... we'll have to pester Cine ji, he does succumb to pressure! ![]() T You must be the change you want to see in the world - Mahatma Gandhi |
