the results of my search at earthmusic

badra garze jiyara tase ankhiyaan fadken Lata Mangeshkar [+] Laxmikant, Pyarelal [both] Majrooh Sultanpuri Barkha Bahar
chham chham rut barse rut barse jiyara tarse Lata Mangeshkar [+] Laxmikant, Pyarelal [both] Majrooh Sultanpuri Barkha Bahar
jala de tu koi aag aaja thandi rut piya Lata Mangeshkar [+] Laxmikant, Pyarelal [both] Majrooh Sultanpuri Barkha Bahar

also confirmed it with geet kosh

it is Lata (a la asha)

Million thanks to CM-ji for bringing such a nice number to HF, never heard before.

Again an interesting situation since all records say Lataji.

I fully agree with Hits, Talaikya-ji, Vikas-ji, I feel its 100% Ashaji's voice and not Lataji.
A very soft song, excellently rendered by Ashaj in seventies, when she was at her best.


I would request Admin. to refer it to Ashaji's forum and get views from Ashaji's fans as well.

Heavens!!!! This IS Asha--can anyone doubt it? U just have to hear the first tere to know it. The voice and style--ASHA all the way--I think it is only their early songs where there is a bit of room for confusion. How can anyone mistake Asha's 70's voice? Nothing more lovely in the world (ooops I am in the wrong forum bhool gayi blab.gif ) laugh.gif
BTW not all sources say it is Lata. The VN book says it is Asha.

He he he this is not a Lata - Asha duel--this is an Unni-Priya one--am sure Asha would tolerate having me as an avatar but would Lataji like being masculine or simian? For that matter Lataji did once express a wish to be male so that she could sing for Dilip Kumar!!! ohmy.gif (but sure she never envisaged that in unni's voice tongue.gif )
