Rafisaab went out with a flourish. Among his last films, DOSTANA ran on the strength of its music comprising these three hits of Rafi-two being duets with KK. From the duets you can make out how Rafi made his high notes sound so effortless and also there were his pillars-LP- behind him. The fourth song is a nice mellow number composed by the multi-talented Ganesh, brother of Pyarelal of the LP team!

I am a die-hard Rafi fan no doubt but frankly, I did not write HAMRAFI purposely. It happened! You are the first to have brought it to my notice. I cannot explain it. All I can remember is that I was charged with enthusiasm at the time-as you can make out from the preceding write up- and my fingers just flipped from h to f to make hamrahi to hamrafi! I would say-YEH SAB RAFISAAB KA KHEL HAI!
