About the song, I dont know how true this is, but apparently Ravi Shankar was not exactly happy with Lata ji's output in the movie! He expected better of Lata ji; whatever that means! IMO, every song in the movie rates among the most challenging songs Lata ji has ever sung, particularly this one, 'Kaise Din Beete' and 'Haye Re Wo Din Kyun Na,' all of which are absolute favorites. Reason for doubt is that the movie is from South where in those days most of the songs where written by Rajinder Krishan. Also, Earth Music mentions it to be RK. Dear Rajan, You may be very right there with "Rajinder Krishan". Madan Mohan and Rajinder Krishan were inseparable who produced numerous but super songs. Sanjay |
